Paid Time Off
Vacation begins to accrue immediately; however, it may not be used for the first 180 days of employment. Accrued time is based on hire date. Any unused vacation time in excess of 15 days (120 hours) is lost each January 1st. Up to 40 hours of vacation leave over the 120 hour limit will be paid out. Hours over 160 will be lost.
• Upon initial eligibility employees receive 5 vacation days per year.
• After 1 year of service employees receive 10 vacation days per year.
• After 3 years of service employees receive 15 vacation days per year.
• After 5 year of service employees receive 18 vacation days per year.
• After 10 year of service employees receive 20 vacation days per year.
Sick leave benefits begin to accrue immediately; however, they may not be used for the first 180 days of employment. Accrued time is based on hire date. The maximum balance an employee may carry is 15 days.
• Upon initial eligibility employees receive 5 sick days per year.
• After 1 year of service employees receive 10 sick days per year.
The following holidays plus one “floating” holiday are provided:
• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
Up to 3 days bereavement leave is available in the event of the death of an immediate family member. Up to 2 weeks paid (less any amount paid by the court) jury duty leave is available over any 2-year period. Please review the Employee Handbook for details concerning other benefits.
